The Rainbow Recovery Room opened in Surry Hills on Buckingham Street.  There were only 3 LGBTQIA+ Alcoholics Anonymous meetings per week.

1993

The Living Clean & Sober float merged with Rainbow Recovery Club.​

2018

The Rainbow Recovery Club celebrated its 20th anniversary!

2023

There are now many more LGBTQI+ AA, NA, CMA and other meetings across Sydney with over 16 meeting at the Rainbow Room. 

The Living Clean & Sober float is still part of every Mardi Gras parade. 

The first LGBTQIA+ recovery float in the Mardi Gras parade under the banner of Social Committee of Recovering Alcoholics and Addicts - Gay & Lesbian (SCRAAGL)

The Mardi Gras float was renamed Living Clean & Sober.

2005

The Rainbow Recovery Room moved to Ultimo on McArthur Street.

2022

The Rainbow Recovery Room moved back to Surry Hills! Now at 303 Riley Street!
